International Irish Soprano, Sinéad Blanchfield has been wowing audiences around the globe. Performing to packed venues ranging from hundreds to several thousands, Sinéad has performed in concert, opera and at corporate events all over the world.

Sinéad's ability in the crossover genre is unsurpassed – possessing a particularly versatile voice, she sings the classical music coloratura repertoire, Irish/Celtic, folk, jazz, gospel and contemporary. Having had so many different and varied musical influences, Sinéad embarked on producing her own dynamic and highly creative classical crossover show, to reflect and bring together all of these innate musical strands.  This has led to much success on the concert platform and has resulted in performances of her show all over the world - from New York to Naples, Sydney to Shanghai - for corporate events and on the world’s luxury cruise liners, including the esteemed Queen Mary II.

For her UK performances, Sinéad collaborates with the best directors and musicians on the London session scene creating a stunningly original classical crossover/celtic sound.

Sinéad has worked with many major classical and crossover groups, ranging from Grammy-award winning orchestras, such as the Royal Scottish National Orchestra, to electronica opera (with Opera Theatre Company, IRL). She has performed in concerts and recitals at major venues and festivals including Kilkenny Arts Festival, Wexford Festival and the Huddersfield Contemporary Music Festival as well as in concert and recital at the Queen Elizabeth Hall (London), St. John’s Smith Square (London), The Waterfront Hall (Belfast), The National Concert Hall (Dublin).

Sinéad was born in Kilkenny, Ireland and from her early beginnings studying singing, piano and flute, fronting her own groups and arranging and writing her own songs and music, Sinéad went on to make her broadcast debut at the age of fifteen as ‘young musician of the future’. She has since amassed numerous television and radio appearances to her credit.

With an honours degree in music (BA (Hons)) and a postgraduate diploma in education (HDipEd), Sinéad subsequently continued her Opera training at the Royal Northern College of Music, Manchester where she was awarded their highest award in performance, the PPRNCM. Her audiences love her true performance style with plenty of vocal and musical fireworks – yet she has an innate ability to create an intimate and friendly connection with her fans, whatever the occasion.

She made her operatic debut with Opera Theatre Company as La Musica/Euridice in Monteverdi’s Orfeo and has spent recent years successfully developing her roles on the classical opera circuit across Europe. Operatic roles include Zerbinetta (Ariadne auf Naxos, R. Strauss), Queen of the Night (Magic Flute, Mozart), Zaïde (Zaïde, Mozart), Madame Herz (Der Schauspieldirektor, Mozart), Adele (Die Fledermaus, J. Strauss), to name a few.

Concurrent with her performing work, Sinéad is much in demand as a voice coach and has a busy private practice near London. She was vocal consultant at the University of Limerick for four years, coaching and mentoring on their postgraduate performance programmes, across a range of styles from classical to pop, rock, jazz and traditional Irish song. Sinéad also taught the Monks of Glenstal Abbey who had a no. 1 album! In addition to broadcasting regularly on TV and radio (UTV, BBC, RTE), Sinéad has extensive experience in the recording studio.
